first twisted building approved in Gujarat Gift City:A 32-storey building named Curve is under construction in Gift City. This building has been built by Shivalik Developers in Ahmedabad. The gift will be the city’s first twisted landmark and will be built in the domestic tariff area. The building will have about one million square feet of commercial space, with ground level retail and the remaining 32 floors of office space. The plan has been approved by Gift City. A company representative said that this is our first commercial project in Gift City and the cost of the project will be around Rs 700 crore. Office space will be available at Rs 7,000 per sq ft. The building has been designed by Design Studio, which has also designed the Gateway Towers in Dubai, the Nimrnidahin World Trade Center at Gift City, the Surat Diamond Bourse and the redevelopment of the ghats on the Ganges River at Varanasi.
The columns on each floor will have a twist. This design intervention gives the building a twisted shape. The building also has a 300 feet atrium. There is a large open space in the middle which allows the offices on all floors to have a ground level view from their respective passages. It will be a green building with about nine high-speed elevators.
The twisted building will come up at a distance of around 200 meters from the Nimrnidahin Metro Railway Station within the Gift City. The builder has launched a residential project in Gift City and has sold 90 percent of the space. Currently, 16 buildings, including high-rises, have been constructed in Gift City, and 27 additional buildings of 9-10 million square feet are under construction.0
