Two Australian universities open campuses in the Gift City

Two Australian universities open campuses in the Gift City:gift city of Gandhinagar, the Indian campus of two Australian universities has been formally inaugurated. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Australian Education Minister Jason Clare visited the campus. 

Deakin University is the first foreign university to open an international campus in Gift City, Gandhinagar. Two post graduate programs in this university will start from July 2024. The annual fee for this course is approximately Rs. 10.7 lakhs. The announcement was made on the second day of the Australian delegation’s visit to Gujarat led by Education Minister Jason Clare.

GIFT City branch for the January to July 2024 session next year

The University of Australia in Wollongong has announced that it will start inviting applications for Masters in Computing (Data Analytics) at its GIFT City branch for the January to July 2024 session next year. The university will open admission to its graduate programs in computing in 2025. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said today marks a historic milestone in India’s journey in higher education, as we celebrate the announcement of two campuses, University of Wollongong and Deakin University, in GIFT City.

Deakin University’s 25,000 square feet campus

Deakin University’s 25,000 square feet campus is likely to be inaugurated in January, 2024 during the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. Applications for admission will be accepted till March 31. “We will charge AUD 19,000, which is about Rs 10 lakh per year,” said Deakin University Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Martin. The living expenses of the students will be around Rs 2.5 lakhs per annum. This is almost half the cost of what a student has to pay at an Australia campus.
